Thijs Kleinpaste studied history at Amsterdam University and worked as an intern for the D66 parliamentarian, Boris van der Ham. Thijs involvement with the party is, however, not just restricted to an intership, he also represents D66 in the council of Amsterdam’s Centrum district.
In March 2013, Thijs made his publishing debut with Prometheus / Bert Bakker and the Dutch language essay, Nederland als vervlogen droom [The Netherlands as a Bygone Dream], about a world after the disappearance of nation states.
