Sara Kekuš has degrees in political science, European studies and peace studies and has studied at the University of Zagreb and the Centre Européen Universitaire in Nancy.
For some time now, she’s been a volunteer and activist with an interest in human rights, in particular in refugee issues and forced migration. During the humanitarian crisis in Croatia, she coordinated the Welcome Initiative. This role included direct field work and the coordination of volunteers as well as advocacy and research work. At the moment, she is concentrating on research regarding the integration and detention of refugees and migrants in Croatia.
