Nicolas Bertrand is the executive manager of Image Aiguë. He has been responsible for several cultural projects in rural areas, organising a theatre festival for young audiences and a number of residencies for young visual artists in Alsace and Lorraine. Since 2001, he has been working for the theatre company, Image Aiguë. Under the direction of Christiane Véricel, Image Aiguë has been creating original theatre pieces and gathering performers from various generations and cultures, who then perform in their own languages. Its original poetic qualities and proclivity for social involvement has allowed Image Aiguë to work in approximately forty different countries and to develop multiple transnational cultural cooperations.
