Matija Medenica is a sociologist and political activist from Belgrade, Serbia and a founding member of the revolutionary Socialist organisation Marks21.
Between 2008 and 2013, he acted as an executive editor of the socialist magazine Solidarnost. During his studies, he was in the forefront of numerous progressive student movements and initiatives, primarily focused around issues of tuition fees and the rise of the Fascist right. His Serbo-Croatian translation of the first critical study of Syriza’s government in Greece, Syriza Inside the Labyrinth (Kevin Ovenden, Pluto Press, 2015), was published in 2016.
