Nikolay Stajkov is a former journalist and the founder of Chitalishte.to and the protest network movement Protestna mrezha. Protestna mrezha was organised as a movement against the Orsharsky government in the summer of 2013 and has now been protesting on a regular basis for more than a year in demonstrations triggered by the appointment of Delyan Peevski (a media mogul and Member of Parliament) as chief of the state security agency.
