Alev Korun is a Turkish born member of the Austrian parliament.
Arriving in Austria as a young girl, Alev attended secondary education in Austria before studying to become a political scientist in Vienna and Innsbruck. Following her studies, Alev originally worked in an advisory capacity with migrants in Austria. In 1999, she then moved into politics as an advisor to the Austrian Green party. Her first elected seat was in the Viennese government in 2005, she then quickly progressed to the national government in 2008.
